Call it a starter or snack , this extremely crispy and delicious okra is much liked finger food. Easy to prepare and stored, maintains its crispiness throughout.
1/2 cup rice flour
2 tbsps chickpea flour
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala powder
1 tspblack pepper powder
salt as per taste
1/4 tsp asafetida
Process : Cut the top stem of the okra, slit it in thin parts. Add the spices and salt. Wait for 5 minutes, the salt will draw out moisture.
Add the rice flour and mix well. sprinkle around 1 tbsp water and mix well. Add chickpea flour and again sprinkle around 1 tbsp water . Mix well, do not over wet the okra.
By this time keep oil on medium heat, once oil is hot then fry one okra to check if its frying well or not. Keep heat between low to medium to fry okra in batches. once okra turns golden brown and remove it out on a plate.
In air fryer bake on 350F for 15 -20 minutes .
