Universal pure veg delicacies way to blissful life

One of the famous Gujrati Snack loved by many and made during festive times. Crispy , light weight and amazing flavors which is accompanied with jalebis and green chilies.

Makes around 15
Ingredients:
1 cup chickpea flour
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
1 teaspoon cumin seed powder
1 teaspoon carom seeds
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons oil
Oil for greasing
Oil for frying



Process: Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add a tablespoon of oil and mix well. Gradually add every time a tablespoon of water and knead the dough. The dough should be firm and the amount of water needed will be between 5-6 tablespoons. Add another tablespoon of oil and knead again.
Cover with a cloth and keep aside for 15-20 minutes to rest. Once resting time is over, knead the dough again and keep oil on medium heat in a wok. Divide the dough in equal parts. Take a piece and grease your palms, roll in cylindrical shape. Grease cutting board and place the cylindrical dough on it. Press with bottom side of your palm on the dough sliding upwards. Scrape the dough carefully with the help of a broad flat spoon or pizza cutter such that you get a thin sheet of the dough. Place it on a greased tray and repeat the same steps with the remaining dough.
Keeping oil on medium heat slide 5 of them into the oil, frying both sides until golden, It takes only 1 minute to cook the fafda. Store it in an air tight container once they cool down.
